Pigeon Review Flash Fiction Competition

Pigeon Review is one year old! The idea for Pigeon Review was sparked on a park bench in the Spring of 2021 inspired by the quirky, resourceful, beautiful, and often overlooked little creatures wandering around us. We felt camaraderie in that way with our feathered friends. We knew we couldn't be the only ones who felt this way; quirky, resourceful, creative, and overlooked, trying to break barriers by flying headfirst into them.

We set out to be a place for stories and art that evoke a sense a place; pieces that may have been overlooked for their simplicity or deemed mundane. Most of all, we set out to foster community. We wanted be a place that values its contributors and every person who submits; a place that promotes honesty and kindness.

ARTBASE

We are now accepting submissions for our Virtual Exhibition ‘ARTBASE’.

Artists from all countries are welcome to submit their works for consideration. You are welcome to submit works in any medium. (painting, photography, printmaking, video art, installation, films, sculpting, mixed media, poems, illustration, etc). The theme of the exhibition is OPEN.

Any artist from any background can submit any of their work. There is no charge to submit your application, please feel free to share your work with us. A small fee (£45) is applied per artist once they have been selected for the exhibition.

The team will review all applications and the selected work will be announced in June 2022.

This is an open call for photo artists and photographers who create/capture self-portraiture! All entries submitted by self-portrait photo artists and photographers will be accepted!

For this online group exhibition, we are seeking self-portrait photographic artworks that express the theme of Spring Into Color! The interpretation of the theme is open.
