Art-Competition.net announces a Call to Artists for “Nature” an online international competition. $8,125 in Cash and Extensive Art Marketing Prizes. Deadline: August 29, 2016 (Midnight EST). The submitted artwork can depict any subject of nature, whether it is a simple object of nature or a world vista. An artist’s focus should inspire and enhance our appreciation and respect for nature’s delicate balance, as it protects and ensures the survival of our planet. Artists, through their works, provide a means of focusing on our planet’s beauty, energy, and diversity. They may also bring us to a greater understanding of humans’ impact upon the environment.

Art-Competition.net announces a call for entries “RED 2,” in all still mediums, for an online group exhibition. Twenty artists will be chosen for the exhibit. Deadline: August 22, 2016 (Midnight EST). The curators will be looking for artwork enhanced through the use of the color red. Its application in the work has no required parameters---from a single red dot to a completely red image---the choice rests within the artist’s eye.  Red may define intuitively an intended focal point that carries the viewer more deeply into the message.  All submissions, which can be expressed from representational to abstract, are welcome.
