OPEN CALL | LEFT HAND

Palmistry (手相), a traditional Chinese form of divination that provides mystical insights into an individual's fate and personality traits, analyzes the lines on the palms and fingers, symbolizing the left and right hands as Yin (阴) and Yang (阳)—energies analogous to the lunar and solar, darkness and light. Ursula K. Le Guin’s novel 'The Left Hand of Darkness' draws from similar thoughts in Taoism, encapsulated in the doctrine: “Light is the left hand of darkness, and darkness the right hand of light.

On a Wire : Critical Review Catalogue Publication & Online Exhibit

No application, registration, or publication fees. No fees. Up to six best in show artists will have their work published with a critical review in the Artist Feature Catalogue. Artists participating in the online exhibit will have two works of art on display and links to their website and social media. Artists keep 100% sales of their work.

CiW 9: Epoché

International Open Call for entries addressed to visual artists for their participation in a curated  exhibition of contemporary watercolor art organized in Athens. The exhibition is part of the COLOR IN WATER (CiW) series of events to promote artists using these media of expression, and will include artists from around the world showcasing the potential of the medium today. 

The official languages ​​of the exhibition are Greek and English, and a commemorative catalog-book will be issued in digital format in both languages. The exhibition will also be available internationally online through the ARTgrID platform.

Call for Program Proposals in Key West, FL

The Studios of Key West, the premier arts organization at the Southernmost Point of the United States, is accepting proposals for exhibitions, performances and workshops for their 2024/25 season. The Studios will be starting next season’s programs as early as August, so are encouraging proposals for programs happening late summer & early fall, with high season being Jan-Apr 2025.

Oculi Inquisitivi: Inquiring Eyes in the Urban Shadows
