Der Greif - Issue 17 by Torbjørn Rødland

Der Greif has invited Torbjørn Rødland to guest-edit Issue 17 with the theme; “One Day Soon.” The world is still out there. Our job, now as always, is to find our places in it. A way through it.

Rødland wants to see the medium of photography opening up and pushed forward in response to the rise of generative AI; beyond conceptualism and critical appropriation, towards a grounded but updated mysticism.

How are you as photographers and image makers responding to these immense technological and cultural shifts? Speculate about the scope and the impact of the threshold period we’re currently in. What are you thirsty for now?
