Dance Teacher

Legere Dance Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor for its summer and/or fall sessions. Available classes include the styles of ballet, jazz, and contemporary. Teachers may teach one or multiple styles. Teachers must have a strong technical foundation in ballet and jazz/contemporary, and have had previous teaching experience. Teaching opportunities for one or multiple days, and the choice of a few different levels. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students of various ages and skill levels, with a focus on creating engaging and educational dance lessons.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Instruct students on various dance techniques and styles
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Choreograph dance routines for annual recital in June

Skills:
- Strong background in dance education and instruction
- Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Experience working with students in a classroom or group setting
- Knowledge of childhood development and education principles
- Proficiency in various dance styles such as ballet and jazz/contemporary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and engage students
