Gravity and Grace

This workshop is an opportunity to conduct a kind of movement research aimed at examining the organism-person as a material entity which contains in its inner the different states of matter. It deals with a training that allows the participants to broaden their awareness on the perception of inner and external space, of the immobility in the dinamicy of movement and of the dinamicy of movement in the stillness, of training the perception skills of the inner and external touch, of improving core strength and body alignment, and of increasing the personal style of a variety of expressive tones. There will be work sessions entirely dedicated to theory and improvisation, and training sessions indoor and outdoor. These latter provide long walks in the Itria Valley, that will allow to deepen this research through the direct observation of the different states of matter, exploring the natural environments.

The workshop is conducted by Gabriella Zeno at Casina Settarte. 

Daily Programme:

9:30-10:00am: Warm-up

10:00am-13:00pm: Training

13:00-15:30pm: Lunch break

 15:30-16:00pm: Theory (lecture, reading)

16:00-17:00pm: Walking class

17:00-17:30pm: Warm-up

17:30-18:30pm: Training

18:30-20:00pm: Improvisation

Practical information:

This workshop will be hosted by Casina Settarte. Expected arrival on 10 September at 17:00pm, Ostuni Station. The workshop lasts five days, 11-15 September 2024. The departure is scheduled for 16 September after breakfast.
