Open Call For Pop-Up Exhibition Projects
In order to make the most of our mission to give even more space to art in our 2024-2025 events and exhibition calendar, we invite you to realize your small-scale Pop-Up Exhibition projects at Zemin Berlin! If you are a Berlin-based artist/curator/collective with a vision to make an impact through your art, we invite you to submit your work to Zemin Art Space.
We welcome all visionaries. We do not have any theme limitations. Through visual narratives and dynamic mixed-media explorations, we seek to amplify the voices of passionate artists, curators and creative collectives through their projects that transcend the traditional presentation models.
Eligibility:
- All projects should be small-scale projects of minimum 2 days and maximum 1 week.
- Zemin Berlin's open call is targeting all emerging / established curators, artists and collectives living / working in Berlin or closer regions.
- All participants must be older than 18 years old.
- Fluency in English
Open call requires but not limited to:
- Exhibition projects.
- Curatorial projects for research.
- Your own solo exhibition.
- Workshops.
- Long-Term performance and space interventions.
- Creative Seminar / Lecture / Artist Talk programmes.
- Projects that are targeting public interventions / events in the public space around the gallery.
Guidelines:
- We will welcome diverse artistic mediums, including 3D VR reality, installations, interactive experiences, sound art, light installations, video projections, performances and many more.
- Proposals must be conceptually concrete and understandable.
- Zemin Berlin strongly encourages inclusive and diverse project proposals that are having the intention of providing a creative and safe space for gender minorities, BIPoC, immigrant, disabled and marginalized groups.
- Projects that reinforce or perpetuate homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, racism, antisemitism or any form of discrimination/violence will not be evaluated.
- Proposals must be submitted in English.
- All applications submitted will be considered final and treated as such.
- Zemin Art Space & Gallery seeks for non-commercial projects and does not earn profits from the sale of the artworks.

Zemin Art Space was founded in 2019 with the aim of serving as a dynamic and inclusive gallery, nurturing artistic expression and recognizing space for diverse creative mediums. At the heart of our vision lies the desire to provide an inclusive platform for creative community projects and inspiring artistic activities, all brought to life by curators, theorists, and exiled artists/scholars from Berlin. Our non-profit approach and unwavering commitment to encouraging emerging talents and nurturing established creators propels us to the forefront of Berlin’s artistic landscape.
Our commitment to art goes beyond gallery walls, as we actively participate in local events and collaborate with neighbourhood initiatives to promote inclusivity and mutual understanding. (Only for completed files and projects approved by each participant can apply.)
All the documents must be sent as one PDF document. Filenames formatted as: YOURNAME_YOURPROJECT
