Art in the Boros

It’s that time of the year, Denise Bibro Fine Art is having its open call for Art from The Boros XI, 2024. For the past ten years we have selected diverse and hardworking artists to participate in this annual group show highlighting talent found within New York City’s five boroughs. The mission of the exhibition is to seek and find the pulse of talent in the city that is often overlooked and underexposed.

We are asking artists in the five boroughs to submit all works virtually. From these submissions we will choose artists for a virtual exhibition. From these artists we will then choose ONE artist to have a solo virtual exhibition later this year.

Best of Me

Our October group show “Best of Me” invites artists to submit their best and most personal creations.

This show will revolve around self-expression and authenticity, so each piece submitted should not just showcase the artist’s technical mastery and creative vision, but also embody the essence of who they are as individuals and artists. Whether these works are inspired by external influences, such as current events, societal issues, or personal encounters, or stem from imaginative explorations of the artist’s inner world, each piece should embody the artist’s authentic voice and vision.

Open Call: "Container” Group Exhibition at A Space Gallery

“Container” Group Exhibition Open Call

The term "container" refers not only to a physical vessel but also carries metaphorical meanings on social, cultural, and psychological levels. As a structural framework, a container helps us deconstruct and reorganize complex social relationships. It has a dual nature: a container can both include specific groups and exclude others.

This exhibition explores how individuals form their identities within these "containers" and interact with people in other "containers," challenging and reshaping existing perceptions. By continually rearranging the artworks, the exhibition dissolves the conventional boundaries of individual pieces, turning the gallery itself into a large artistic "container."

Small Wonders

Small Wonders
Some of the most exquisite beauty can be captured in the smallest of images and objects, the iridescence of a hummingbird in flight, a millefiori paperweight, Faberge eggs, a miniature woven basket, and endless other possibilities.
Healdsburg Center for the Arts invites artists to submit their Small Wonders, paintings, original fine art prints, sculptures, ceramics, or jewelry. Artwork submitted should be no larger than 12 by 12 inches (144 square inches) and no larger than 196 square inches framed.

Call For NYC Artists - 3rd Artist Colony Program

A Space Gallery is thrilled to announce its open call for our 3rd Artist Colony program - “Interwoven." We aim to foster a community of creativity and collaboration through this unique residency experience.

"Interwoven" invites artists to explore "The Plant," a former coal-burning power plant in New York that symbolizes the shift from past practices to a sustainable future. This site offers a rich history and a vision for a sustainable future, serving as a vast canvas for artistic expression.

A Space will prepare a van to take everyone to the ruins area in Yonkers exploring with necessary equipment, including flashlights, gloves, first aid kits, and masks, and four days residency at A Space gallery (24 hours access) and two weeks exhibition (September 12-25, 2024).
