Musings of Art

In partnership with writer Jes Chatwin, Collect Art is excited to announce an open call for artists practicing across a spectrum of mediums. We are actively seeking creators working in painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, photography, sculpture, digital media, ceramics, print media, and textiles to participate in an upcoming online exhibition and publication.

This edition aims to celebrate diversity, with Jes Chatwin crafting experimental poetry inspired by the chosen artworks. These artistic pieces and their corresponding written pieces will harmoniously come together, both showcased in the magazine concurrently.

The exhibition and publication hold no thematic restrictions, but bear the title of ‘Musings'.

Musings - your thoughts or comments on something you have been thinking about carefully and for a long time

The opportunity is open to artists of all nationalities who are 18 years old and above.

Selected artists will have the privilege of being showcased in a month-long online exhibition and will receive a 2-6 page spread in both print and digital magazines. This feature will encompass a biography, artist statement, interview, website link, and 2-7 featured artworks. Moreover, all published artists will receive a complimentary digital issue of the magazine, which will be actively promoted on our website and social media platforms. Additionally, artists will be provided with a link to order the printed version of the magazine.

To be considered, interested artists are required to submit 2-7 photos of their artwork (in JPEG/TIFF format, minimum 300 dpi), along with accompanying details such as the title, medium, year, and size of each piece. A brief biography and artist statement (minimum 100 words each), as well as links to the artist's website and social media profiles, should also be included.

The deadline for submissions is September 23, 2023, and there is no application fee. However, selected artists will be required to pay a participation fee of 50 EUR upon acceptance.
