We are delighted to announce the open call for our Online Residency Program, inviting eco, social, and political artists worldwide to participate in a transformative six-week journey from November 2024 to February 2025.

This program offers a unique opportunity for international artists and cultural visionaries to connect, collaborate, and grow together in a vibrant, creative space focused on ecological, social, and political justice.

Residency Theme:

The program focuses on ecological, social, and political justice, providing a vibrant space for creatives to exchange ideas and collaborate. Participants will have the opportunity to explore new dimensions of their artistic expression, supported by a nurturing environment that encourages innovation and community engagement.

Program Details:

  • Residency Duration: Six weeks

  • Time Frame: November 15th –  February7th

What We Offer:

  • Full program for the entire residency

  • Weekly Group Meetings: Participate in weekly one-hour sessions to discuss and collaborate.

  • Personalized 1:1 Sessions: Receive guidance from curator Joana Alarcão during weekly one-on-one meetings.

  • Lectures on Ecological Art: Attend weekly one-hour lectures focusing on ecological art and artists.

  • International IOAEA Community: Become part of a global network, gaining access to exclusive opportunities.

  • Promotion and Visibility: Benefit from diffusion and promotion, including a dedicated residency profile and personal interview on the IOAEA website.

  • Virtual Group Exhibition: Showcase your work in a collective online exhibition.

Expectations and Offerings:

Our residency program provides a comprehensive and immersive experience, allowing artists to expand their practices in sustainability and research. Participants will benefit from a rich program including group meetings, personalized sessions, and insightful lectures.

Additionally, artists will join the international IOAEA community, gaining access to our network space and exclusive opportunities for eco, social, and political art.

Community and Network Space:

Our focus extends beyond artistic growth to building a community of like-minded individuals committed to making a positive impact through their art. The network space enables participants to connect, share ideas, and collaborate.

Program Commitment and Flexibility:

Participants are expected to commit to an entire six-week program. We understand that circumstances may vary, and we offer flexibility to ensure participants can fully benefit from the program.

Residency Fee: 

The fee for this transformative six-week program is 250 €. While personal funding is not available, we can provide documentation for external grants.
