Global Meltdown

Global Meltdown - This call is for a thematic exhibition of artwork related to the the Global Climate Crisis. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery, September 9 - October 2, 2021 and is open to all  all interpretations of the Climate Crisis, be it global, local, personal, medical, environmental, financial, psychological, scientific and/or spiritual. Entry is open to all artists working in any media. $500 cash award. The entry deadline is April 30, 2021.

restART the planet - virtual exhibition

We are SKT, a new exciting project with the aim of creating a scattered gallery without borders. The SKTeam is promoting emerging contemporary artists and helping them to showcase and sell their artworks. Currently, we are preparing to launch our third scattered exhibition ‘restART the planet’ that will run from 24 January, 2021 to 24 February, 2021 in 2 different London city-centre locations, Notting Hill and Chelsea.

Art Gene is seeking a Digital Artist with an interest in curation to produce a series of online exhibitions or events, including a digital exhibition of your own work, as part of Art Gene’s Extreme Views programme. 

Digital U is Art Gene’s online exhibition space, sat within Art Genes website, offering an opportunity for artists working in digital media, including film, animation, performance, and sound. Call for Submissions to Bleen Zine Issue 1: STACKS

Bleen is a bi-annual magazine focused on perception and the continuous processes we undertake to understand ourselves and the world, the intricate systems we create in order to live, the systems we find ourselves in which have been created for us.

The STACKS issue hones in on the man-made structures and rules within which we operate. From architecture to social housing and beyond to heritage and psychogeography - this issue aims to examine the world as we made it.

All forms of visual or written communication will be considered - our priority is to feature works which explore the topic of the issue! 

POSTCARD SHOW / NATURE / NOTTINGHAMSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust (UK) announces a nature inspired Postcard Show, inviting artists (local, national and international) to submit an original postcard sized artwork to be shown at our prestigious Wilder Idle Valley Reserve Centre in North Nottinghamshire.

Inspired by the natural world, art work is welcomed in a range of mediums including drawing, painting, pasting, print, illustration, graphic, textiles and mixed media, and themes could include:

Rising: Climate in Crisis Residencies

A Studio in the Woods is now accepting applications for Rising: Climate in Crisis Residencies. The call is open to artists of all disciplines who have demonstrated an established dialogue with environmental and culturally related issues and a commitment to seeking and plumbing new depths. Residencies are 6 weeks, will take place between September 2020 and May 2021, and include a $2500 stipend and $2000 materials budget.
