MEPAINTSME ANNUAL OPEN CALL

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

MEPAINTSME's Annual Open Call is a juried exhibition and fundraiser aimed at providing a platform for emerging and mid-career artists, while also supporting important social and humanitarian causes.  

Since its inception in 2022, the Open Call program has featured the artwork of 80 international artists, while raising over $10,000 to support charity - in 2022, Ukrainian Relief organizations, and in 2023, groups working to end gun violence in America.

This third edition of the MEPAINTSME Open Call will support the great work of three non profit organizations that provide inclusive and enriching programming for artists with disabilities: Creativity Explored (San Francisco), Project Onward (Chicago) and Summertime (Brooklyn).

We care deeply about providing opportunities for artists to expand their audience and reach. As the gallery does not accept unsolicited submissions, the annual Open Call is the best way to submit your artwork for consideration by @mepaintsme.  Several artists selected for the Open Call Exhibitions were invited to join future group and solo exhibitions on mepaintsme.com.  

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR OPEN CALL 2024

Selected artworks will be featured in a group exhibition on mepaintsme.com from July 18 - August 21, 2024.  This is a competition-based opportunity; all completed submissions are reviewed by @mepaintsme.  Only selected Artworks will be included in the exhibition and promoted on the @mepaintsme instagram feed.  Please read the following instructions carefully. Submissions sent by email or DM will not be reviewed. 

Exhibition Dates:  Thursday, July 18 - Wednesday, August 21, 2024

Submission Form Opens: March 7, 2024

Submission Deadline:  May 17, 2024

Location: Online exhibition, viewable on mepaintsme.com; promoted on Instagram @mepaintsme.

Eligibility 

Open to all Artists (US or international) aged 18 and over.  Limit (1) submission of 1-3 Artworks, per Artist.  

Sales / Commission

For any sales, the artist is responsible for packing and shipping the Artwork to the client. Mepaintsme pays for all shipping expenses including a stipend for packing materials (between $5 and $40, scaled according to artwork size). The mepaintsme.com Artist/Gallery commission split is 50/50 with the Artist receiving 50% of the Sales Price for sold Artworks.  

Submission Fee

There is a non-refundable submission fee of $20 for US-based artists and $25 for international artists (the additional $5 processing fee for international artists helps us cover costs associated with VAT/GST compliance and currency exchage fees).  In addition to supporting the below listed non profit organizations, the submission fee helps to support MEPAINTSME's programming and to make opportunities like this possible.   If you're experiencing hardship and cannot pay the application fee, please email us at mpm@mepaintsme.com.  We have a limited number of reduced and waived fee applications available on a first-come, first-served basis.
